My Art Included in Pastel Artists of S.A. Exhibition, starting Friday ...

 

Upcoming exhibition of pastel art, by members of the Pastel Artists of South Australia group (PASA), and delighted to be part of it. It opens Friday night. I've seen a preview of some of the wonderful art to be shown, with at least one that I'd LOVE to have for my own.

Registration of Interest - Art classes and more.

Just now settling in enough to look at starting up classes or workshops in Adelaide, so I'm currently looking for registration of interest from students and artists who may like to join in on Plein Air sessions, and more.
I have taught here previously, and also have been teaching in the USA.
Just trying to coordinate students, venues, times and class formats.

NEW! SFA watercolor - Horses, people on beach at dawn.

I just finished this original SFA watercolor last night. SFA = Small Format Art - nothing over 14".

This is 6x6" square.

I've wanted to paint this for a long time, so I can't help but wonder where these people are now. No doubt the 'little' girl is at least a teenager. Dawn at one of Adelaide, South Australia's beaches (Semaphore). Where horses are allowed to exercise on the beach and in the surf up until 8am. At one stage this was along all the beaches, and a great many were exercised at Grange, where I lived, and was lucky enough to be let ride sometimes, as a child.

I've done several paintings from this location. Love this with the Mum, child, big and little horses (Shetland pony), and Jack Russell Terrier running alongside.

"Copper Sunset" 5x7" watercolor.

Did this 2 days ago. A 5x7 watercolor. Uncertain whether to put it in one of the galleries, or sell on eBay.

I tried several mat and frame combinations, but sans mat really added some 'zing' to the sunset!
I changed the frame from gold to copper. Was a good idea!!!

Named it "Copper Sunset".

A wonderful teaching experience - art!

Again had a wonderful teaching experience. With students asking when my next class is. I had so much fun, and they said they did, too, as well as saying they learnt lots!

Pen & Wash Art Joural Sketching Lesson @ "The Framer"

The 8th of May, 2003 I am teaching a class on pen and wash journal sketching. I love to teach, especially informally. I love to see the students get delight from their artwork, and I usually get lots of positive feedback. Seems funny teaching as I never really learnt to draw & paint but I've taught other things that I've taught myself, too, so guess this is no different.
My classes are fun.
