Art in the Park
A couple of months ago it was warm enough to venture out for a day in the park (Bear Creek). Art supplies packed weren't the usual traditional kind. For some reason I'm a bit 'off' of traditional art for a while, it doesn't appeal to me - too much planning and discipline. Anyway, I've been wanting to do some mixed media, especially incorporating some very old journal paper I have.
It was a very pleasant day. Not overly scenic, but a little creek that had the dog wading and drinking in it, and kids exploring its shores, made it interesting. A background of trees with fresh new spring foliage, in contrasting shades.
From where I sat it was quite relaxing for a change.
The art work isn't finished, the page is much larger - I am going to add some collage 'stuff' - it's still in planning stages, but some elements are coming together well.
Art can be where ever you find it, and doesn't have to be traditional or 'perfect'. Just enjoy!
