Jacksonville watercolor - wooden Indian.

My latest watercolor:

It's an old statue - wooden Indian, in the Western town of Jacksonville, Oregon. This town is used a lot for old western movies, so this probably has been photographed or filmed many hundreds of times.

Watercolor ACEO 2.5x3.5"

I love visiting antique shops. This is from an antiques store in countryside of Georgia (by Callaway Gardens).
"Left on the Shelf" It's watercolor, ACEO (2.5x3.5")

I loved playing with the colors in it.

The next challenge was some old wooden drawers from the same place.
"Old Drawers" Also watercolor, ACEO (2.5x3.5")

I'm posting more today!
I am determined to get some houses done. I've already done one.

R.I.P. Thomas Randall Crider

I guess this is the place also for me to share personal news. Randy Crider, my son Dustin's father, and ex-husband, died Sunday 6th January after a brief illness.

Goodbye 2007, hello 2008!

So glad to see the end of 2007, but 2008 isn't showing improvement. But I'm painting.
This 5x7" Watercolor painting of an appaloosa horse is from the Rogue Valley, Oregon. Title: Appaloosa Rogue. There is 8+ hours work in this.
I'm pleased with the results, but was tired and it became tedious near the end, and was scared of ruining it.

This is my most recent SFA (smallformat art) other than ACEOs (always 2.5x3.5").

Revamping, revamping. Again??????

Well, if you don't like where you are in life, take life by it's tail and change it.

I've re-vamped my website:
http://www.jilliancrider.com
Please take a look. I'm particularly pleased.
I've included a slide show of ACEOs (art cards) at the moment it's HOUSES.
Thank you to artist friend Ellen Morrow in Oregon for showing me the script.
Here is her work:
http://ellenmorrowarts.cafepress.com

I've also started upgrading my Cafe Press store.
I'm having fun creating some graphic images for sale on clothing and gifts and more.
I LOVE these items. Please look:
http://jilliancrider.cafepress.com
I'm hoping to do more changes in future.

I also used a slide show on my website for my miniature art gallery.
It's a roombox. 1/12th scale. If you love miniatures. Take a peek. All the work there is hand-done.

Thanks for dropping by.
If you could send some positive energy this way, I'd appreciate it as there are a lot of things that aren't going the greatest at the moment, and some hugs and prayers would help. Thank you.
