I'm trying to keep at least one ACEO listed at all times. I missed today by about 10 minutes or so, I think.

But here's my latest (not counting my Ace of Spades - not yet listed). Still in the 'series' of houses/porches...

"Ace of Spades" ACEO watercolor for 2011 ACEO card deck

I signed up to produce an ACEO for the 2011 card deck.
My card was the Ace of Spades.

I couldn't get past my original fascination with this card.

I grew up in the age when we played cowboys and Indians, and there were westerns galore on the TV. To find out that the Ace of Spades has such a shady history with the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok, I never could get out of my mind.

Attending a western re-enactment last year provided some wonderful images, so with a bit of manipulating the pose, etc. This is what I came up with. I did a bit of this under magnification. And I deliberately gave it a very muted color scheme.
