Numbering my ACEO art cards was up to a number ending in 13, so instead of creating one ACEO with that number I am doing a mini series of Halloween original collage art cards.
I've completed the first 6 in this series, and not sure how many I'll continue doing, the elements used are the same, but the look is different for each. 

I use a page from a 1971 Edgar Allan Poe book, bats printed onto a very old book page, part of a ledger with handwriting over 100 years old. Vintage and antique images of Halloween themes printed onto a transparency, which is secured with metal brad shapes.

I then add a few elements that seem 'appropriate' for that particular image - these included antique and specialty papers, real leaves, and other things that just seem to 'fit'.

Fun to do.

2 more little paintings - miniature art for dollhouses.

I'm enjoying doing some miniature dollhouse paintings. I'm sticking with 2" x 1.5" format, in watercolors. I have reconnected with a wonderful lady who can be contacted for frames for them. I did two more this past week, that is all I had time for. A local garden that caught my eye, with a 'wheelbarrow' full of flowers being hit by wonderful sunshine ("Fun In The Sun"). And an old pump house from one of the many nearby pear orchards. I still have one romantic beach scene that didn't sell from the past week. Defoors Art Auction and Exhibition.

My really exciting news is re the Atlanta Artists Center.
They have 2 events. First is their monthly show, which is juried. So I submitted 2 works for that.
Second is the 'Defoors' Auction and exhibition. This is a major fundraiser, and the artists are required to donate a painting, and then they can submit more for juried entry. I submitted 2 works for that, also (as well as the required donated piece).
I went last night to collect art work that had not been accepted after jury selection, only to find out that ALL pieces have been accepted. So I am really excited about that.
I'll let you know how all goes.
If anyone reads this, in Atlanta, the Defoors auction is at the Defoors Center on Friday 14th November from 6.30pm until 10pm. A great chance to get some original art!
The exhibition is open several days prior to the auction so you can view the work, and up until the 2nd December. Only a certain number of paintings will be for auction, the remainder will be as a 'regular' exhibition where sales can be made. Come see!
